Installation for H2i - R2c with the New AdapTec Plus

Effective immediately, H2i devices can now be paired with R2c readers. However, this is only possible through a customization request. When purchasing a brand new H2i terminal, remember to notify the sales person that the terminal is to be paired with R2c as the slave reader.

If you are already using a H2i device at your place, simply send it over back to us for an update of the MCU board. This is because an update of the MCU board using PIC controller is necessary in order for the H2i device to support R2c.

For your reference, below is an installation diagram for the H2i and R2c devices with the new AdapTec Plus.

POP-UP ERRORS BUGGING YOU? LEARN TO AVOID AND FIX THEM

No error messages will ever pop up like this

Bumping into errors when you are running a software is irritatingly irritating, particularly when those errors prevent you from moving forward, delaying your job and making you work extra hour(s) at the end of the day. How we wish we could have completely error-free software, but let’s face it; we are living in a world where there are many Bill Gates-type CEOs around – seems like errors do come packaged with every product.

For example, last week when I was having a good time watching a genuine decent DVD, an error message popped up asking me to refer to a website which apparently has no solution to the audio problem it created. My point is, who wants errors in their life? There’s no way to escape, even entertainment gadgets have them.

When operating TCMS V2, you need to pay attention to NOT do a few things that could cause error messages and ruin your mood for the entire day. Let’s walk through 5 common things that could cause errors in the TCMS V2 software.

Password Settings Login And Administrator for TCMS V2

The TCMS V2 software requires you to input 2 sets of passwords to protect your system from unauthorized access. You can set a login password and an administrator password to protect your system. Always use alphanumeric characters to set your password. Many users fail to recognize that in order to use the Login and Administrator password, you will need to set the password for both columns. Failure to input either one of the columns will show no difference in the password settings. For detailed instructions:

1.     In the TCMS V2 software, click System Settings and select Change password.

2.     Insert both the Login and Administrator passwords. Please make sure both passwords are different from one another.

3.     When you log in to the TCMS V2 software, insert the Login password.

4.     As you can see some of the configuration icons are not available in the software. The icons restricted are System Configuration, New Release and Wizard.

5.     If you log in using the Administrator password, the software will display all icons for your usage.
